From time to time I have users who require the same predefined tab searches as another user.

As an Administrator, if you know both user names, you can copy the tab set as a resource.  If the user who is getting the tab set has already defined some tabs, you will have to delete their custom tab set first.

Log onto the administrative section of the site.  Click on "Resource List".  You will be given a choice of two options:
1) Owner Type
2) Resource Type

Since tab sets are private to the individual, drop down the Owner Type and select "Private".

Your list of choices has now grown to three to include User.
1) Owner Type: Private
2) User
3) Resource Type

For User, drop down the selection list and pick the user whose tabs you wish to copy.  This user list is in alphabetical order by first initial of the user name.

For Resource Type, select Custom_TabSet.

Click the "Apply Filter" button.

Put a check mark in the box next to the resource.

Click the "Copy" button.

You will get a pop-up window that gives you two definitions, Copy From and Copy ToCopy From is already defined by your selections.  Copy To needs more choices.  Leave the Owner Type set to Private.  For Owner Name, choose the user who is to GET the tab set.  The Resource Type is already defined.  For Resource Name, I highlight and copy the Resource Name from the Copy From list.  The correct Resource Name for the custom tab set is: defaultCustomTabs.  If this is incorrectly typed, the user will not be able to use the resource.

Click the "Copy" button at the top of the pop-up window.

Done!

If you are only copying one or two tabs, it is often easier and faster to simply create the tab(s) for the user or walk them through how to create their own tab set.

The user names in the pop-up window are in order of "last altered" which is extremely inconvenient.  I cycle through the user names by highlighting the drop down list and repeatedly typing the first initial of the user name.
